Asphalt Institute Annual meeting is a record breaker

The Asphalt Institute (AI) Annual meeting in Bonita Springs, Florida this December was a record-breaker in attendance and focused on the Institute's 90th anniversary.

The number of AI member companies rose to 104. Outgoing AI Chairman Ralph Shirts (pictured, center) was honored along with other ExxonMobil executives for the company's 90-year membership.

Other companies recognized for their membership longevity were 60 years: Nynas AB; 20 years: Seneca Petroleum Co. Inc. and United Refining Company. Ten year members were: ALON USA, Colas S.A., GAF Materials Corporation, IKO and Suit-Kote Corporation.

Companies recognized for five continuous years of membership were: Asphalt Operating Services, LLC, Asphalt Refining & Technology Company, LLC, Flint Hills Resources LP, GCAC/HALCORP, Holly Asphalt Company, Interstate Asphalt Corporation, LCY Elastomers LP, Lunday-Thagard Refining Co. and MeadWestVaco Corporation.
